Scientists and medical professionals believed that stress and heart disease are inseparable and any stressful condition can manifest as heart disease in persons.
But, there are no proper or concrete scientific findings to establish a direct relationship between stress and heart disease. Further, the effects of stress are different with different persons and this aspect also made the study still more difficult and complicated. As of today, there are no proven findings to link stress and heart disease.
Stress is a mental condition faced by a person when his capabilities do not match the demand made by the situation or work. Stress happens in a person s mind and differs from person to person. Further, stressful condition need not always be detrimental, as certain level of stress is in fact required for excelling in a situation and hence such type of stress can be termed as positive stress.

Effect of any stress can cause adrenaline secretion in your body and this hormone in turn can set in a series of serious blood clots. Hence, there is one school of thought that links stress and heart disease by explaining the stress condition where in your body will release more adrenaline hormone and as this hormone interfere with blood flow through clots the condition will thus result in heart disease.
Stress Related Factors that Trigger Heart Disease
A person, who experiences a continuous emotional stress, may resort to bad habits such as smoking and alcohol consumption. And there is no need to tell that smoking and alcohol can cause heart disease due to induced blocks in arteries.
Further, a person under severe stress may tend to over eat and resort to a sedentary lifestyle. Again you may be aware that these two factors can cause heart disease in a person over a long period of time.
I t will be interesting to note that many of the senior management executives, who always work under severe stressful situations, never exhibit any heart disease related symptoms at all and you can never find even one sign that can relate stress and heart disease with each other.
This may be due to the reason that those executives could have learned more as how to control their emotions and utilize or channelise their stress for achieving their targets, etc.
On the contrary, lower level executives or employees always have to report to their boss and they always live in a more unsecured situation and this kind of job-related stress can take its toll over a period of time.
The final conclusion could be that there are no proven scientific facts that can relate stress and heart disease with each other, but a well-planned proper diet with sufficient exercise can really help in avoiding many of the heart disease related risks.
