Do not over stretch if you are not able to reach your toes or ankles and you will be able to do that as you progress in your practice. Alternatively you can also do the exercise by lying down on the floor and do the stretching process.
As you grow old, you are more likely to get your blood circulation slowed down and you are prone to more blood clots especially in your leg area.
